    Another big thanks to David.

Over the last few months I have emailed with David about some parts for my transmission. He gave me lots of info on his builds, and help me sort out a possible fix for the shifting problems I have had for the last few years. I ordered a 3.29 gear set to replace my 3.69, a modified 2nd gear clutch set and a valve body spacer plate that he modified. He shipped everything out quickly, included the chain scoop and a spacer for the third clutch pack.

When putting the transmission back in the car I noticed the diff felt a bit weird, pulled it out and found a pinion welded to the shaft. I called Dave up, he shipped a replacement diff out that day and helped get my car back on the road.

I have now been driving it for a few days and the suggestions David made have worked flawlessly. I have shifts that were so much better they were too hard(chirped drag radials into 3rd in a Fiero at part throttle), and had to reduce my shift pressures at part throttle. The 1-2 shift where I have always had problems are firm, and quick, exactly what I was looking for. No more dragged out WOT shift.

I just wanted to say thanks to David for all the help he has provided me and others on this forum. He is a asset to the community.

Glad to hear you got the trans back together ok and it is working great for you! I often find that using stock or near stock pcm settings for shift firmness are adequate for most cars, and a Fiero is quite a bit lighter than w-body cars which will make the shift feel a bit more agressive. Glad again that I was able to help out and you are pleased with the trans!
