    Hello everyone.

I am looking for a picture of the TPS sensor and the Coolant temp sensor. Specifically the wires that connect each other together. I have explained below why I need pictures of these parts.

I recently replaced my lower intake manifold on my 2002 grand prix GTP and I'm having problems with the car running now. I think i connected something backwards or didn't do something right.

I can start the car after a couple trys but when it's started it does a couple different things.

1.) It will start after the 2-3 try and idle fine. I will take it for a test drive but it will stall on me. After it stalls it starts right back up but it will stall at any given moment. Also, if I start the car and let it run for a little while then give it some gas while it's parked, it shuts off right away after I let off the gas.

2.) It will start after the 2-3 try but it will idle around 3000 rpm which is pretty high. When I take it for a test drive in this condition I don't even need to give it gas for it to go. The other problem I have is that it won't get out of first gear and the "boost" indicator on my dashboard says supercharger is providing 100% boost. The car will not stall when it's doing this.

3.) One thing this car does in either situation I listed above is that as soon as you start the car the temp gauge reads where it should be as if the car had been running for 15 mintues. It's werid.

    Things that were replaced:

    -Coolant temp sensor
    -TPS sensor
    -O-Rings on fuel injectors
    -All Vacuum lines
    -Lower Intake manifold gasket
    -Throttle Body Gasket
-Spark plug wires, not the plugs themselves.
    -PCV valve
-Other misc. Items you need to replace when changing the lower intake manifold gasket.

To try and figure out the problem myself, I noticed that when I replaced the Coolant Temp and TPS sensor all at once that there is wires that go directly from the TPS to the Coolant Temp Sensor. Those wires don't go to anything else. It seems to me that a wire should branch off from either the TPS or coolant Temp Sensor and go to something else that will find it's way to the computer. As it stand right now, there is just wires going from the TPS wire harness to the Cool Temp Sensor Harness and nothing else as stated above.

So I would like to know if someone can take a picture of this setup so I can see if I'm missing something or if I did something wrong.

    Any Advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks guys!

Each plug only fits in one place so you can't mix them up. Go back and double check all connections to make sure you didn't miss one. You might have a bad coolant temp sensor since you are not getting a good reading. I helped someone do a lim gasket on a grand am and we missed the plug on the temp sensor putting it back together. That caused several things to happen including high idle and the transmission going into gear very hard.

Go to rockauto.com, or any parts store website... should be a picture.
