I bought carpet cleaner, and sprayed it on a paper towel and wiped my headliner down VERY lightly. worked pretty good.

I'm going to get mine replaced. With graphite, along with the A-pillars.

stupidest thing ever, black leather/ graphite i guess insides with tan headliner. Bah.

The thing i like the most about my car is the cock-pit like feel in the drivers seat... btu then i look up. Bah. stupid tan headliner that's all nasty and dingy. >

Headligners are extremely easy to replace and you can do it relly cheep. Just get the fabric and go to auto zone and get some really gritty sandpaper, and 3m spray adhesive. Sand all the remining headligner with the paper, whpe it down spary the glue and lay the material. I ahve done it on every one of my cars. It just makes a huge difference.

I might have to consider this alternative... Hmm...

I think body-color A pillars might be a neat touch as well, while I'm at it

    Actually, I'm going with a tri-color interior.

I'll get brushed aluminum overlays for some stuff, replace that godforsaken tan-gray headliner with a graphite one, once my leather/vinyl area get bad I will repair them and dye them body-color (not that nasty bright seat-cover red).

So it'll be black with a bit of maroonish thrown in and some aluminum. My favorite color combo

You could always use the fabric rattle can spray paint, it works really well. Used it in a 84 Fiero SE i had. Worked really well.

as soon as i get my phone charged, ill upload a pic of the first interior mod i did. Painted the silver prongs on the steering wheel U817K-code, and the buttons i have a neat effect with by using silver enamel and wiping it off again and again until it kinda stained it silver. And you can still clearly see the red through them!

    woot

EDIT... noobiness coming through, why would engine oil help it? Same reason Kerosene makes piston cleaning easy, I presume?
