Would you be able to make an overlay to cover the blue oval?

Sure can. I would just need exact dimensions (overall length. overall height). The only problem I forsee is that it looks a little bowed up so it just might be a hair off.

The best way to measure is to put a piece of paper or even foil on it. Mark off the edges of that, then measure. Let me know.
