ok so its to cold to go outside right now but this morning, i whent to start her up, and it when into gear just fine, then it just whent into netrual. did this for reverse also. i managed to limp here back to the parking spot by puting her in park, reverse, park, reverse. im thinking it might be low on tranny fluid, just seeing if this could be something else. and i let it run for about 30min before it tried driving it. thanks

Definately check the fluid level, since forward and reverse acted up at the same time low fluid would be the first thing to check. If it is really low check your radiator overflow tank and make sure it isnt full of trans fluid! If the trans cooler in the radiator goes bad it means coolant inside the trans which will wipe it out in a short matter of time and it also means trans fluid will entire the cooling system and you can typically see the fluid floating on top of the antifreeze. If that looks good then just look around to make sure you dont have a big trans fluid leak under the car-again this is IF it is low on fluid

fluid was fine, good in color and full. starting to think it might be a broken axel..... mabye diff hoping not. i had a pretty decent vibration on interstate but i thought it was just snow in the tires, i washed it and it still did it, and now this happens hmm... thanks for the replies you guys seem very helpful. i wont be able to look more at the problem until friday due to cold weather
