Hello , I am new here ,but I already have a transmission question . My daughters GP with the 4t60e transmission that was rebuilt 25000 miles ago started making a poping noise when in park . It was working fine except for the noise .We removed it to find out what the problem is . It has a burned 2/1 band, and a bent cage on the 16 roller sprag .It was rebuilt with an alto kit with whatever brand bands that they include . Would it be a better choice to install borg warner bands when we get around to rebuilding it in the next week or so ? Thank you for any input .

The BW bands are better. Do Raybestos Stage 1 clutches and the HD diff and you'll never have to worry about it breaking again.

I have another question ,I recieved the borg warner bands . I have been cleaning up the trans for a soon to be rebuild . Can anyone with 4t60e knowledge tell me if the 1/2 roller sprag race was perfectly smooth on the surface or does it have a slight groove in the middle where the roller bearings ride . I have been looking for some listed measurements but I have not found them . This is the 16 roller bearing race .

Can't link from my current location. Google "4t60e rebuild video" there appears to be one on youtube that may show you the part.
