Theres 2 shift solenoids, 1 pressure control, and a tcc

Redline is a very reputable shop. I'm fairly sure they would have replaced it when it was built. Might be worth stopping by and seeing what their thoughts are on it.

Overall.. it's a pain to get to. Pull subframe and axle, lower trans end of drivetrain until you can sneak the cover off.

I don't know if this helps but I can tell you what the TCC does the solenoid reads the speed of the transmission and sends the signal to the computer which identifies that the car has reached proper cruising speed and is not under heavy load (full throttle) it then "locks" the torque converter to not allow any slippage like a standard automatic torque converter, basically making the torque converter act like a clutch

cars showing no symptoms of a bad tcc solenoid, is there anything else that could be causing the car to throw this code or is it catching an early sign of a bad tcc?

Could be wiring to the connector, or internally, or the actual soleniod giving a funky feedback singal.
