Oh hai and sh1t
****, i need a beer!!!! that's all it really boils down too. I have no explaining or arguments, my brain hurts and my finger nails are black.
i came to the conclusion im going to find a junk 4t60e rebuild it and have it on hand. Rebuilt a 4l60 with a friend and think i will attempt front wheel drive even known it looks overwhelming.
probably going to change the vacuum modulator run the old fluid out, change filter and fluid. I can use a new rebuilt 4t60e on two vehicles might as well take a few weekends and build one to have it on hand
Have fun putting another transmission in it.
4T60E is junk...epic junk.
Don't rebuild a 4t60. Just drop in a 4t65. Simple swap, just need a matching PCM and run a few extra wires. 4t65 is a better transmission match for these cars which is why GM used them for years in these cars.
So, one of these:
2000 Grand Prix GT 4T65e Transmission 3800 98k | eBay
and one of these:
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix PCM ECM ECU Computer Engine 10 | eBay
blah... kinda childish

brothers build, going to be pretty cool
You're going to put a vacuum cleaner transmission behind an LSx?
Youmadbro
dont even know if the work is worth it, i could see if the car was cherry, its decent but not the best
it would be a longitudinal if that were the case.

I don't think global positioning has anything to do with the strength of the transmission.
