I have a 1997 Grand Prix SE. When I was turning it around, I shifted from Drive to Reverse and the transaxle dropped to neutral but will not go back into any gear. The shifter cycles thru the gears, but the transaxle does nothing. I checked the fluids(ok) the linkages( seem to be working ok @ the transaxle). The only thing the transaxle does is, when you try to shift to park, it grinds. Anyone know if this could be a solenoid or in need of a transaxle swapout?

Grinding would give me the impression something went very wrong inside.
