they do come up for sale, but get pounced on asap. ive not seen one last more then a day for sale here. they sell used anywhere from 150 to 300. depending on the seller.

the avt box replaces the dhp box, as dhp is no longer making them, or in business any more.

Also probably worth mentioning, the DHP (or clones) is no longer supported, so if there is a problem, there are no guarantees it will ever be fixed.

That said, there is a lot of great unofficial help on the forums.

So if I buy this for $260 all I need is a laptop? Or do I need the dhp box too?

Looking king for a way to scan for kr and adjust tune .... Don't want to spend a crapload on a tuner

windows laptop and the avt is the dhp box. the interface was made by the avt co in the first place for dhp. they still sell them new, you do need to tell them you are going to use it for dhp.

Yea, you basically e-mail the guy through the Website and he'll set you up with what you need...then offer free shipping, lol. While this does scan for KR, it's kind of overkill, unless you plan on doing your own tuning. A BAFX OBD2 to BT adapter with Torque Pro installed on an Android cell phone (or tablet) will monitor KR for roughly $30.

And read/clear codes, monitor temps and fuel trims, as well as log some stuff...

Well worth it, IMO...even if you have a tuner or even a scan tool already.

i monitor with the t app. use dhp only to do scan when i see the trims learned via the t app. its a bit much to be lugging around and setting up all the time.
