So my 2003 gtp is running a ported sc, pacesetters, 3.4 pulley I was rarely ever having kr and if ever like 1*

then I put on a north*and lq4 maf at the same time I threw in a tune with the tables for the maf supposedly copied into it. Well I get the car out and I have 7* of knock and at full throttle acorrding to the scan guage the afr is going to around 10.5 at 10lbs of boost. I'm sure this is a tuning issue so I posted it here to see what adive anyone has, I plan on taking it into a local shop to have it tuned on a dyno just would like to know what's causing this before I go in. Because if it's simple I'll save the money and but hp tuners.

i would buy a tuner and go from there.

its likely, the tables that were updated may not have been correct and/or some tables may have not been touched at all.

when does the KR start and does it go away/decline over time while WOT? not only should the maf tables have been adjusted, but they may need to be fine tuned, along with compensating for a sooner throttle tip in from the N*.

turbo and s/c tuning is different. in MANY cases, turbo IC tube doesnt exceed 2.5", max 3", in order to keep up velocity and psi. so in many cases, you dont need to go wild with a large TB and MAF.

however, in s/c, you are pulling in the air rather than pushing it, so going larger on the TB and MAF is beneficial if tuned properly. is a larger tb and maf needed, certainly not, however, it does allow the air to enter the s/c faster and if tuned properly, does yield gains.

You entirely missed my point, not needed unless mega build is my point.

most people seem to always have issues getting a tb swap to work right. Sure it can be done but far more try and it just causes them problems.

I think my last sentence actually agreed with what you said so I did get your point.

and in all actuality, a lot of people mod their cars with other items and still never get it running right, so a maf and a throttle body upgrade is no different than anything else.

I got the entire set up with the zzp cable bracket, adapter, tb, all sensors, harness adapters for 200 dollars thats why i put it on, it is tuned now and it just ended up being way too lean on fuel and high on timing.

i took it to have it done just for the matter of getting it drivable and not chipping a piston. but still plan on investing in hp tuners since the modding never stops.

Hey guys, I'm new here. I've done some research but wondering if a N* throttle body will fit on an 02 GP GT? Non-supercharged. If not is there a similar mod for the non-s/c models? Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm In my 3800 learning phase, don't be too harsh on me.
