what you need done? i have a dhp. im in NJ. im no tuner yet, but can delete codes and flash a new pcm and such.

bills drop box is full of mostly stock bin files. if they are doctors they say more then the year and file #.

i just want to practice uploading a canned tune in my gt before i do a cammed l67 swap later this year to see if i feel a difference ... i been reading over the last couple of weeks and while i feel it easier to understand from when i first started i don't feel comfortable enough to give it a go yet

so you have a dhp already? reading and writing to the pcm is the easy part really.

its the getting around in the tune and changing this and that you need some smarts for. any one can read and write a pcm its as easy as clicking read or write. key on and its on its way.

yes i do agree some smarts is definitely necessary ...half of the initial battle for me was the jargon ltft stft but as i learned what the acronyms stood for reading stuff like jerry's and gary tuning notebook is making a little more sense ...and yes i just purchased a dhp tuner off of some one on this site even got a login and password for the powertuner site it just seems that site is dead and putting in a ticket for a 1.5 cannedtune will be a long wait.thats why i tryed here just wasnt sure if any of the gt bins in bills dropbox were the 1.5

being your a noob like i am at this whole tuning deal. its just best to ask ( post a thread if someone dont see this) asking for a known top swap tune. then if they are willing you can flash that tune to your car, then scan using DHP and email the scan to them, they can make adjustments as needed. email it back and you re flash it. pretty much the only way to get going with a tune if you know nothing and dont want to take the risk fing it up yourself. and its better then a store bought canned tune, cause at least you can work with someone and make the tune better. canned tune, is one and done, it is what it is. so having the dhp is a big advantage for sure.

its what ive been doing. as i have no real clue to the tuning part yet.

you'll need to read, then save your bin file, then email to who ever offers help. then they will send it back to you and you flash it back to your pcm. keep a copy of your stock bin file un touched so you have your stock bin saved.

The DHP 1.5's are overrated. Most had no major adjustments. Its only real use was to be sure you had the newest OSID for your year car.
