I Got my PCM from ZZP and tried to install it earlier today. I got it all hooked fine and all but I had issues with the security relearn for PK3 keys.
After reading relearn procedures: they stated that the security light should come on without trying to start the car.
My DIC will only have the "Starter deactivated due to theft" after I tried to start the car. I followed ZZP relearn methods as well as other PK3 relearn procedures. Has anybody else had issues getting their PCM to work?

The first pcm i got from them my car barely ran. Returned it now the current one has a code from running to rich. I put my stock pcm back in runs fine. I guess I'm ranting more then helping you out. Good luck they have the worst customer service, if you email them they will give you a two word response.

yeah I believe it. I eventually want to get a custom tune by my performance shop, but I think the ZZP is a better starting point for tuning. I mainly need the tranny adjustments because my car shifts like crap. It shifts super early and I will be in O/D going 35mph

Ya that with some accumulator springs or spacers help a lot with the trans.

Ok so I did some more research and the latest procedure I found is that when I turn the key on it specifies "accessories" position. Other guides I read just said "on" and I was turning it to the second key notch. Could this be my issue the entire time?

I personally don't have anything to add here because its a zzp question, but them bolded words could never happen, just sayin. 4th gear won't happen untill atleast 45ish mph, otherwise it would just bog and die.

Just thought I'd have some random 2 cents.

guess I was lucky...haven't had a problem since install (which had no issues)...and still fine...plus their CSR actually was pretty easy to deal with last BF, when I snagged the PCM after the sale was over...hope you figure it out...

My car does nearly die. My rpm will be 1100-1200. Ever since I added headers and 3" exhaust my car has been running like hell.

Im taking my car to a gm dealer tomorrow. I've had a "service vehicle soon" code for about 8 months. I had it read once at a dealership and I think it was a low voltage code. My code reader cant pull it. It might not be letting my car go into security relearn mode.

After I put the ZZP pcm in my car and put the key in, my security light doesnt blink or nothing. Everywhere I read it says the security light will flash or stay on then turn off after about 10 minutes.

Yeah I got my stock PCM. Im running it right now so I can get places. I thought about trying to send the ZZP pcm back and just have them email me a file and have my performance shop flash it. I just dont want to screw my stock pcm then i will be in big trouble

Ok... Could it be possible that my BCM is bad considering I have the SVS message in my DIC. Considering when i put in the ZZP PCM my security light doesnt come on or even blink. I get no messages until I try to crank it over.

I'd just try to get a PCM by Will over at Overkill, and return the ZZP PCM if possible. ZZP PCM's seem to be hit or miss, but I've never heard of people having many if any problems with Will's tunes.

I thought about it. The zzp pcm should be fine for what I need. All I have done engine wise is put zzp headers with 3" exhaust and the HV3 insert. I am kind of done with the engine until I can boost it. I mainly need the transmission goodies from the zzp pcm. After I put on the headers and exhaust, my car has shifted like hell and I think my converter is locking up at really low rpm.
