Overkill i heard provides a better pcm, but he can sometimes be hard to reach.

Both are near identical. Go with whichever is cheaper, or has better service.
Be careful with anything from intense because their products can be a little too intense lol. Nah jk
look up reptile here on the forums he does really good tuning for a great price
basic 3.4 setup
I have an Intense Custom Tuned PCM for my car.. If I could go back and do it over again, I'd use that $$$ for an in car tune instead. In car tune is tailored for YOUR car, YOUR location and is more fine tuned. Box tunes are just generic tables, redundant settings, blah blah boring and sometimes not as beneficial as one would think... I know this doesn't answer your question, but the determining factor for me in my decision making was A) I'd never get a ZZP tune due to the horror stories... B) I tried to get ahold of Will at overkill for 3 weeks with no luck or I would have gotten a tune from him. C) Intense was my second choice, and since I could not get ahold of Overkill that's what I ended up with...
If you are really froggy, get HPTuners and do it yourself..
my first questions are:
what mods do you have?
what mods do you plan to do?
what goals do you have for the car?
if you have or plan to have a mild to wild build you should deff get a tuner and learn to use it. there are plenty of people around the forums willing to help teach people to use the tuners.
if you dont have much done then you prob dont even need a tune yet.
ported front manifold, 104's, 180 tstat, 3"dp, open cone, 3.4 mps. i do plan to go further with it once i get a second car for my self so im not modding a daily driver. and as for the tuner program goes my 2yr old broke my lap top so to go and drop a grand on the software and computer right now aint gonna happen since im not going further with the mods at this point.
my plans over the next year are to go ic, 1.9rr, headers and shift kit.
My only question is how you get away with a 3.4"pulley with just those mods?
I'm running everything but the plugs. I Also run a fenderwell intake and a tune and I'm still managing to get 3-4.5° of KR at WOT.
And some weird way I'm managing to pull 8-9psi of boost at WOT...? Yea its a stock pulley.
I've seen six psi on stock a pulley never 8-9. I'm seeing 2.5* kr wot 9.5 psi 6 is about stock. check the size of the pulley
In car tune would be best depending on budget. I got an OverKill tune, emailed him and had my PCM goin within a week. Sometimes he gets backed up sometimes not so much doesnt hurt to ask.

twzted: what mods do you currently have?
i just found aplace here in maryland that wroks on domestic cars and they can dyno tune also been talking to a guy that might be able to help me out with a in car tune. dont realy wanna buy a tuned pcm but if thats the only option at least its a start
Currently installed on the car I've got,
CAI, TR55's, Taylor wires, 2.5"DP, ported LIM, and a Dhp tune.
In my shop waiting installation I have SD headers, 105lb Crow springs, comp retainers, and awaiting arrival on Harland Sharp 1.9 Rockers and pedestals
As far as I know there is no one within 150 miles from me that can street tune.
