How much does it take to raise narrow band 02 roughly 100 mv?

I dont know how much i need to add since i put on the 3.5 pulley and headers right now 02 are in the low 800 with 2-3 degrees of knock.

    100 kpa is already 215

but the PE is still stock. I dont want to hit the invisible timing table during a WOT run.

any suggestions on how to get the fueling up because 100 mv sounds like a lot to just add a the injectors.

Here is a small scan from tonight. 50+ miles for trim learn
RACETRACK_11-19-2008_5_25_32_P from detroitlions34 -- Scan Depot dot net

the pcm is still pulling fuel during cruise even though I did not change anything from the stock tune MAF/VE in the cruise area. Doesnt headers usually cause the car to run more lean? If so why is mine still pulling fuel?

Sorry it is a crappy scan traffic was everywhere and 02 of 820 at WOT scare me even though i dont have a Wideband.

I am surprised that i am getting so little kr for running lean

    Thank you

Could add some in small increments to the upper part of the MAF table. That would keep you from hitting that timing table when the AFR drops too low.

Stock its set to run fairly rich. You want to get all your trims as close to zero as possible so your LTFT locks in at zero when you enter PE. You'd see a better WOT O2 reading if you just got your trims back to zero with some VE and MAF tuning. Then the PCM wouldn't be pulling fuel on you when you go WOT.

the upper part of the maf is already +5% how much higher before the trans starts shifting funny?

I have never had it happen but i heard it happens if the maf is to far off?

You should really get a general MAF tune done before messing with the upper MAF. If you just got your trims closer to zero so that your LTFT locked in at zero when you got into PE, you'd see your O2s rise. -8 in WOT is bad.

During WOT the PCM isn't using the O2 sensor for fueling. It's "guessing" based off what your fuel trims are during normal driving. Get them in check, and your WOT fueling will get better.

Ya get your trims dialed in so they lock in at around 0 using a MAF tune. You could always do a VE tune instead, which I hear is better but personally I haven't tried it yet.

For a rough estimate tune the 7500 and down for your maf tune and for wot do 7650 and up. For the 7500 and down you will need to set up a histrogram if you have hpt that is. If you're trying to do it manually your pissing in the wind. Then once they lock in at 0 at wot you can tune the 7650 and up for wot while watching the o2's.

Just go 01.00 at first to get you in a better state to go WOT. Then just go increasements of 00.30 or decreasements of 00.30 depending on where you need to be at.

When i put my 78mm tb on i was seeing low 500's on the NB. I couldnt figure out what was going on. Took me forever. And belive it or not I was getting no kr also...just 1 or 2 degrees

Eddie's table modifier. Load the scan, point and click, import new MAF table.

A VE tune will only help when the MAF fails. It's good to have as a backup, but to correct your fuel trims for normal driving when everything is working, you need a MAF tune.

Good to know, I'll stick to the MAF tune.

if youre not knocking, who cares what your WOT o2s are. they dont mean a thing since they are narrowband. when will people learn that there is no specific level that it will read that is best for every car?

add a tiny bit of fuel to get rid of the knock, that's all you want. you SHOULD be trying to run the car as lean as possible to make it the fastest.

Belive it or not narrow bands do mean something. And you can tune very well taking into consideration what AFR they are accurate in and what they were ment to do in the first place.

I would be no where right now without a narrow band.

eh, i gave up on mine. each narrowband is different and its hard to tune very well with one. i just need to finish hooking up mine so i can lean my car out and start making some power.

It's served much more than than it's intended use for me. And many others. Cant argue with that.

12's without a wide band is not bad if you ask me. It gotta be doing something dont you think?

Narrowband is good for relative adjustments. I know 920mV is more rich than 870mV, but the AFR for my 920mV will be slightly different than the AFR for your 920mV. It's designed for the PCM to keep things at stoich. But, it can serve a purpose for seeing results of your "nudges" in fueling.

Ya narrowbands are fine for seeing if your are running richer or leaner but it's always nice to know how rich or lean you actually are. Oh well I'll probably still be tuning my car with the narrowband even after I hit 12's with my upcoming setup, I'm cheap like that lol.

No narrowband is useless for wot tuning. o2s were at 920 and my wideband was reading below 10.1. 880 o2's my afr was high 10's/ low 11's.

But, it obviously works in the way I described. Relative adjustments, not accurate and finite measurements.
