Hello again guys, as you know I'm in process and about to the assembly point on my top swap. Now that I'm right about there I'm wondering if I should find the SS impala (my vehicle is an 02 L36 impala) .bin or if I should modify my current L36 .bin? Is one easier? Is one more effective? What happens on the L36 that can't calculate boost(I've read something about that)?

    As always TIA,
    Slim

First thing.. search on Darkhorizon He has posted a bunch of times on how to build a top swap file and there are a lot of threads on it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Ok. I attempted a search but my main access is via my phone. I'll use my laptop and hope for better access. I'll search DH's more specifically. Thanks

If you have a 3.29 transmission, its much easier to setup the top swap bin using the 02 impala file.

Swap in the L67 Good Fuel Spark timing table, PE settings, the injector constants, and you should be good to go. Make sure you dont try to use the 2bar map sensor.... You may see alot of extra KR, which is due to a bit different sensitivty, but I have been able to tune around it a bit with the PE vs Coolant temp table. Be careful with coolant temp PE, as if you go too low it will add alot of timing vs the AFR Spark table, which I suggest you zero out before you start if you have access to it (tiny tuner does).

I will be using tiny tuner so I know from "playing" with my current L36 that the .bin has been opened quite extensively. Thank you for your help.

careful playing in tinytuner.. I try to stick to DHP unless it is for specfic things, as many tiny tuner tables are incorrect.

    The whole PE section right?

Injector constants mean injector flow rate? This is also the number I change to compensate for the 60# injector to right? 32# to 60# would be a double it and slowly cut it down?

    Always double check myself.

double no... you are decreasing the amount of fuel required, so you reduce it to pull fuel to the injector. use the correct percentage number to go from 33.7 to 62.5.

All the PE stuff can go over, I usually bump PE/coolant down first go so it starts out on the rich side.

I guess I went the wrong way with that FI part. I appreciate the help. .5392 it is, I went the opposite way.

its called AFR spark, not sure what else tinytuner calls it.

11.8 or so sounds about right on the pe/coolant, maybe lower, you cant really go "too rich" for a first flash, even more so if you are looking to learn.

What is the site that lets me post .bin files? I've only used it once before and forgot. I'll post my bin and see how a first try went.
