This is from the open tuner book:

Before we get into the process of doing a timing tune, I am going to present an idea here. The stock timing tables of a 2005 GTP are significantly more aggressive than a stock 97- 03 setup. I think that copying over the BFS, GFS, MBTS and ATS (air temp spark) tables from a 2005 GTP over to your 98-03 GP make an excellent starting point. In fact one could do just this, and feel a nice increase in throttle response. Cruise timing up to a maximum of 42 degrees and WOT timing approaching 21.5 degrees under a good tune is an excellent increase.

How will this help me with my KR?

I got a friend thats got the 04 timing tables.
And was telling me to use them for better gas mileage and for fitting KR.
    How is this possible?
Whats so special about 04 timing tables over my 99's?

WOT timing on your car is going to be way to much starting out. You can run up to 42 on cruise and it should help squeeze some mpg's out of the car...but in no way would I just throw that table in unmodified unless you know for a fact you can run 21* now.

21*?The highest i'v been able to run is 18* with bleeps of KR.
I guess i'm not the only one not able to run timing that high.
