Which one would you guys recommend for better tuning?
Reason is we are currently tuning with a PT.
But i can get my hands on a HP tuner.
Or else i would have to buy a WB.

I would think they would need to be use in conjunction, no? I mean, what good is knowing your fueling is off using a wideband if you dont have the tool (tuner) to make adjustments.
AEM or Innovate wideband?
well, if he is using a powertuner already id say to buy a wideband.
the AEM is going to be a gauge, the innovate youll have to buy a guage seperately to hook up or youll have to log it with the tuner. i bought an AEM seteup.
All right!
I'm borrowing one from a local member.
Any suggestions or things to look for?
Wideband is the only way to go and since you already have a PT then get a wideband if you are planning to buy after you are done borrowing one, but once it is set then it is set you shouldnt have to change it until you change mods. The afr is going to jump around during normal driving and that is completely normal as the pcm wants to see this and is going to average around 14.7 but you will see it range a bit higher and lower than that. Once you go into PE mode the afr will be a fixed number and wont jump around outside of with more throttle and rpm as that fueling is from fixed tables and inputs, not the pcm trying to constantly adjust as it does not use the 02 sensor in PE mode. Basically you want your afr about 11.5 supercharged and NO IC. With an Intercooler you can lean it out a bit and get up in the 12.0 range ok. Honestly I dont see much power gain over the 11.0 mark seat of the pants or at the track so I prefer to stick around the 11.1-11.3 range as a little safety cushion. NA cars make best power in the 12.5-13 range but every car is different. With the wideband you will really see how much pulley you can and cant run. The best way to start is to put the timing at 16 then get the fueling correct with the wideband, then add timing if it allows. Some guys say that if you can run upwards of 20-22 deg of timing with NO KR then you can drop a pulley size and drop timing back down to 16 and add some if the car wants it. The car will make more power with a larger pulley and correct afr than a smaller pulley and dumping fuel to kill KR.
Thanx trannyman, good info!
