I have a 2001 GP gt with ER rockers, stock springs, HV3, Stage 1 Ported TB, Plog, Catless 3 inch downpipe. Have a Overkill tune as my base tune with a few tweaks to fans and shift pressures and timing done by me. Right now Iv been playing with shift points in hptuners and iv hit a brick wall. When I adjust my full throttle shift speed / full throttle shift rpm anywhere above 5500 rpm in 1 to 2 I have what almost seams like spark cutout or fuel cutoff right before the shift. Fuel cutoff and Spark limiters both are set at 7k. Cutoff vs gear set to 6500. At first I thought it was valve float but In 2nd gear I have the shift point set to 6200 rpm and I never have issues. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Keep it closer to the stock shift point, you make no power up there and are making it slower.

There is just no need to spin the motor that far.
