I currently own a 2000 Grand Prix GT, 3.8L V6 and pretty impressed with it so far. One thing is Botthering me and it the rev and speed limiter.

I have been looking around and came up with this ? ZZP 1.0 PCM

Is it really worth it ? and if so how hard is it to install ?

If you raise the rev limiter you won't go any faster.

Power is already falling off after 5000 RPM.

Tried a canned tune while N/A, not worth it.

    Not true.

My bone stock GT went faster than 118 mph (159 is like a hundred MPH...so maybe a tune up is what you need to go 189 KPH.

But who cares, it takes a mile....and you'll die in a black hole of a death trap.

Otherwise, I'd say...get rid of the U-Bend before you get a tune, let the car breathe at least a little better, along with making your own intake and tossing in a 180* T-Stat for the lower fan setting points.

I'd also say, buy one from www.3800performance.com...DHP > ZZP

Also again...read the link in my signature. Learn ze platform breh

It's really easy to install however I would wait till you get more mods so that way you don't have to get a re tune and I would not go with a zzp pcm get one from Overkillwill. Just Google, overkill performance. I got my pcm from overkillwill and highly recommend you buy from him. Bonus is that if you need a re tune when you get more mods he only charges $50 plus shipping. If you have any questions just pm me and I should be able to help.

What are your tires rated for?

Better yet, if the cops catch you thats your car, license gone on the spot plus a 2-10 grand fine then your insurance rates will be similar to DUI convicted persons.

    Just a small reminder.

    Whys everyone push PCM's period?

Stock PCM tells the car to shift when it does because our engines don't make power up there without valvetrain mods.

Timing and fuel is fine, if you're knocking, flow mods or pulley up.

It all depends on what you're aiming for. If you want a really fast grand prix then you prolly wanna go turbo but it cost a lot of money but if you still want a turbo and you have the money then you should just save for a zzp z3/z7 kit and an upgraded transmission. I'm building my car for a turbo and I'm not gonna lie I spent close to 2000 dollars on everything so far. The only thing I have that I have to get rid of when I finally get the turbo kit is my sd headers I'm gonna sell those when I am ready to install the kit for the turbo because I won't need the headers after. It's a lot of money if that's your goal and you also should invest in hp tuners and teach yourself how to tune because you're going to need to know that.

Going to a more efficient power adder doesn't really require much for supporting mods.

In fact, you can bolt a Z3 kit to a bone stock GT...with no "supporting mods"...

You don't need supporting mods. But I want to make the most power I can. And I'm also teaching myself to tune. I have big plans for my car. Before you say it's only a grand prix, I know that.
