stock pcm is all you need.. getting a shelf tuned pcm is not going to get you very much.

Buy a powertuner, flash whatever changes you want in a pcm, then sell the thing for the same price you paid for it.

i dont like the features 3800proformance gives you for the money and im in northern oakland country michigan, i was planning on putting headers on and a 3.6'' pulley and a CAI. i was told running that set up will require a PCM tune to run it safely

No, scanning for KR and changing the pulley so that you don't see KR will ensure you can run it safely.

    No idea.

Try your current pulley and see what happens.

I ran my stock tune on my 3.4 setup before I threw my zzp pcm in and it wasn't to bad. The zzp one feels faster because it makes the car shift at 6K instead of 5.7K or whatever and ups the line pressure in the trans.

if you have an android phone you can buy an obd2 to bluetooth adapter and download the torque app or you could buy an aeroforce gauge.

I have the PLX BT one.

    $80 shipped if you want.

    Kiwi Bluetooth - PLX Devices

Then you'd need to buy the torque app from the google play store thing, $5 or so.

i have an in-car tune from Nixon that isn't even fine tuned yet...

then i tried the overkill pcm for another reason and it was horrible. slow sloppy acceleration, brought the mush out in my trans, weak pull, lots of KR. meh :/

if you're gonna spend money just have someone tune in your vehicle with you.

Yes because you're running an afr in the tens and no timing.
