Once again I'm stumped about what the car is giving me crap for this time, I hate never ending lists

copied from my thread on the HPT forums, files are in that thread since this site doesn't like the hpt format

I'm not sure what it is since it started doing this all of a sudden. The plugs were just changed since my last set had a fouled plug, I already gapped them down to ~.042 already, plug wires are new as well. The timing tables are stock for a 05 GTP and the tranny tables are stock as well.

Also, your MAF table looks very weird at the higher Hz

And guess what decides to come on...the SES so I'll find out at lunch what its for

Cleaned the MAF and ran without the BBV hooked up, same problem

I did do a pull at 75% throttle I suppose and car gave me no issues

Fuel pressure good? Just throwing something out there.

I've been through my fuel system a couple of weeks ago with a misfire, it was fine. AFRs are still something like 10.3, I was trying to get them to around 11.3

Is it holding good pressure though?

    That MAF is very interesting.

    Which TB/MAF are you using?

You should throw a stock MAF calibration there and some tubing between your filter and MAF.

Your commanded AFR is in the low 10's then dives down into the 9's.

Do you have some logs of driving around town?

Regardless, you should attend to the MAF then change your PE commanded so it results in something more reasonable, like 11.0.

    What fuel are you running?

    As in how much ethanol?

If you want to run a base PE of 11.3, remove most of your add vs time until 10 seconds, then start adding fuel back in.

Stock MAF and TB, the car has a FWI

Throwing the stock calibration had crossed my mind

The AFRs are commanded to 11.3

The fuel is 10% ethanol IIRC, I used to be able to get straight gas but this dumb town made it mandatory for 10% ethanol?

I don't have any logs driving around but nothing seemed weird line it is now.

the base PE is 11.3, but your time adder is making that dive much lower.

Look at your commanded AFR in your log, its 10 then it dips into the nines.

Throw a stock MAF and base PE in. That should fix your fueling issue.

Got it, I looked back at some other threads and I forgot to set those other PE tables to 0. I'm about to throw the stock MAF and just 11.3 commanded (with the other tables zeroed) into the car and check it out.

Thats fine for now, but dont go WOT for 10+ seconds without adding some fuel in the adder table.

    Say -0.5 then -0.1 then -0.2.

Thanks Matt, going back to stock fixed the problem. I threw my tuned MAF table back in 7500 hz and lower since I had the LTFTs down into the 3s. Runs at like 12.5 WOT right now lol, time to hit the back roads again.

Could I do that in the commanded AFR table incrementally richer across the table?

    Not a problem

    which commanded AFR table?

There's base PE which is based on ECT, and thus should reflect the stock curve with your own values.

The add vs RPM table should be used to enrich after 10 seconds.

Curious if you could upload the current maf curve.

Just want to see how well its blended.

PE base vs ECT is the one I've set to 11.3

In the add vs RPM I should start in the 9.6 sec and what RPM? 4K? Before I start adding fuel.

The HPT forums have been in and out all morning so I can't upload the tune there. Otherwise I would so you could check it out.

    edit:

In the add vs RPM table I kind of did what you suggested. At 9.6 sec and 4K RPM I set the value to -.5 and at 25.6 sec and 6400 RPM I set the value to -2.0 then selected a box area with those two corners and told it to interpolate between the values

    Yes.

The top end of the maf looks low compared to the rest.

I'd raise the entire curve up to match.

That should bring your actual WOT AFR back down into the 11's.

Which TB are you using and which injectors?

    FP rewire?

Stock TB (cleaned), injectors, and I do have a rewire but I never did put it on. I figured if I need it I'll throw it on.

I'll raise up the curve and dial it in.
