I'm sure this has been asked before but the search function using tapatalk isn't the greatest.

I have a 2004 gtp and I'm looking to purchase hptuners but I'm trying to get all the info I can before I take the dive.

Can I use hptuner pro interface to upload a bin file from tiny tuner?? Or viseversa?? If not what interfaces work with tiny tuner??

Just get a DHP.... no dive, no worries about using tiny tuner.... Seems like a no brainer for me, I would NEVER use HPT on a 3800.

The only thing I liked about the hpt was it will be able to work with my srt-4 in the near future (hopefully), and a couple of my friends vehicles so I was hoping it would work alright for tuning the gtp. I just have read there are some limitations with the hpt and that tiny tuner fixes some of those.

it will be YEARS before HPT works on a srt4...

If your friends have fwd GM cars, it would be even more reason to get a DHP because its completely unlimited.

Hell if you dont like it you can sell it AFTER you tuned your car for the same price you paid for it.

The other cars are ls1 cars and I have a duramax I might play with.

Out of curiosity why is the dhp not made anymore? ? And where is a good place to start looking for a used one if I decide to go that route?

Hardware limitations due to new pcms if I remember correctly were the reasons that DHP stopped providing support for GM cars. As far as looking for a DHP look in the other thread you started for your answer.

His main question was how to use hpt with tiny tuner so he could shut off the cat tests.
IMO that's the one and only downfall I ran into by having HPT, besides buying credits.

You can use hp tuners to flash a bin file from tiny tuners just to clear up this question that no one answered
