Ok so the file in my mothers camaro is not supported by the DHP nor is it in Tiny Tuner. i was told it is possible to have it added in. does anyone know how to do this or who to talk to about getting the OSID added so i can tune this car?

Original thread [Ok my mother has a 2000 camaro i would like to tune. its OSID is not supported by the DHP or tiny tuner. its OSID is 9384018. i have two camaro bins both are 2000, are l36, and same gear ratio as my mothers car. their OSID's are 12203795 and 12203793. i have never tried running another osid in a car before. im wondering if i can take my spare pcm and upload one of these two supported files and put it in the car. would uploading the wrong OSID cause any issues with the BCM? were all the 2000 l36 camaros drive by wire? this one is. i know that i will need to make sure the vin is uploaded and matching. are there any other issues i might run into?]

download and use a supported OSID. They are just version numbers, and typically charles would only map the "last" version the car used. Typically GM would not release a software update more than a year past the model year of the car.

Well i forogt to update this... there are only two supported 2000 camaro OSID's for the powrtuner. i had one of the guru's over at DHP check and from the vin of my camaro these are not compatable. my camaro has the first of 3 OSID's listed for the vin. he compared the bins for mine to the others that are supported and there are significat differences in there. even though they are all l36 2000 camaros the OSIDs are different for a reason. so it was strongly recommended i do not try and run the supported OSID in the car. my current option is to learn how to update the data base of tiny tuner and or powrtuner software so i can modify it... at the very least if i can get TT to read the file i can change the listed OSID in the bin to one the PT will recognize and fool it into uploading it.
