can some one load a tune on a pcm for me

ok so my car is a 2001 gtp and i have headers cai,104s, 180 tstat,ported blower and 3.5 if i send someone a pcm can you load a tune on it for me for this setup also have 42.5lb injectors but there not installed yet and the pcm i have is from my old 2001 gt please pm me

ya i don't wanna spend 150 for a tune i can buy used pcm with a canned tune on ig for 75-100 but thanks anyways

2 HPT credits which are required for any HPT tune on a Grand Prix are $100 ($50 each).

A used tune would not be specifially built for your mods like Wills tunes are.

And with a used canned tuned pcm, if the VIN of your vehicle does not match the the VIN on the PCM then it will go into theft/security mode - Car wont start. You can use the PCM, you would just need to copy your factory PCM data file and overwrite the current file on the other PCM. so you would need it tuned to your VIN anyway.

In order to tune a PCM out of the car, a special harness has to be made, which range from $75-150.

ah ic i was hopeing someone would have dhp and just charge like 50 bucks just need a pcm till the sumer then im ripping the motor apart and redoing it with cam and all that good stuff

What year did they start the theft/security mode? I used a used canned tune for my 98 gtp and it worked fine.

im thinking it was 2001 cause ther are some pcm that are 98-00 and that would probably be why

ok just FYI i know we are trying to convince him into getting a real tune... but come on 75-100 for an off board cable? seriously? for the 96-03 pcm you just need the blue side of the pcm connector and about a foot of wire, a power supply and a switch to simulate the ignition switch. made mine from spare parts and spent $10 on the connector at the junk yard IIRC.

i dont think the series 2 had to be vin specific... but it is easy to update the vin while flashing the bin anyway.

I dont agree with canned tunes. from experience tuning people down here in florida, it seems no one can get a file right. ZZP was the worst i have seen, but i have seen some recently from Will as well and the people who had them still had high levels of KR for their mod level. Location is the key though. down here we are at or very close to sea level which increase pressure both on and off boost. Will's stuff is by far the best out there that i have seen. but again from seeing it all first hand... nothing beats a tune in person.

nascartech, if you want something cheep myself and many others can throw a base 2001 GTP file in your spare PCM, update your vin, and raise fueling blindly. if you want something that will actually make an improvement in your car, go with Will. if you want to be sure the car is running 100% get a tune in person. actually your up in CA and so is will. his tunes should be flawless for you.

when you think about it, your looking for something cheap... lets say you pay me $50 to tune your PCM... you then need to pay shipping both ways... your better off just spending a little more and get a great product from IMO (and many others) the best in the business.

PM Reptile and see what he can do for you. He's done all the tuning on my car thus far and I haven't had any complaints.

I could hook you up with whatever you need. Tuning isn't some sort of magical procedure where you need a P.H.D to figure it out. It's common sense and after having tuned about 100 of these cars you know what settings work and what settings don't.

ok thanks guys i just bought a ls1m so i can scan my car for kr and all that and see what it is doing so i can get a better tune before i send my pcm out
