You could go 3.4 without a wideband. But with the correct mods you're talking a 25% increase in power from stock. That needs to be accounted for and monitored in some way.
i understand... any other mods you would consider before going to a 3.4 that i dont have... most pretty much told me what i need to run a 3.4 and thats what i bought and is what i have right now
That's what your high and low octane spark tables should look like before changing pullies. You want to go to engine-spark-advance to find that table.
it is, that is a random file i pulled up before my final tune was flashed
My table looks nothing like that...
11.0 flat.
To the OP, get a wideband.
Aim for 11.2 AFR and get it as flat as possible.
Then focus on timing.
Timing M90 car > Smaller pulley M90 car...proven as the smaller pulley gives you more low end TQ. but the timing give you the top end...which these cars lack in the first place...
I just can't understand why your car doesn't allow more timing with only a 3.4" with a full-size IC and headers...
You forgot 1.9's.
Even more reason? lol
To be fair, the boost levels are kinda high.
7/7.5 to 9.5/10 on the 3.4
5.5/6 to 8/8.5 on the 3.6
Meh, buddy had 12psi on a 3.4" with headers...ported heads would probably destroy that 10psi
Its that or N/A (see stock).
Will decide over the winter...
