Ok so saw in the chat box people were wondering about the scan gauge II.

i have had one of the first aeroforce interceptors from like 2005! before all the more fancy add on's like case learn and triggering the fans. so the currant aeroforce gauge will be even better then the one i had.

after 5 years of florida heat my aeroforce's screen got washed out and the wire on the display lifted off... so i took the opportunity to get a SG2. the preloaded PID's were fine but lacked fuel trims, KR, and trany temp. using the Xgauge feature, i added all of these... but never did get the KR to work... it very well could have been working as my tune was good.... but since it only showed 0 vs 0.0 of the Aeroforce i was unsure if i saw partial KR. the big difference i saw was the refresh/response rate. the SG2 was about half as fast as the aeroforce! both at the highest settings the aeroforce wins by a land slide.

where the SG2 wins out on the aeroforce... color choices and being able to change them and that it displays 4 gauges at once and freeze frame data on SES's. but since the refresh was slow i feel it is only good for trany temp, fuel trims, and other data that doesnt move that much or isnt a major factor.

I am sending my aeroforce in to have the screen replaced. the SG2 went to my wife's lancer.

    so that ends the FYI.

Does the aeroforce also scan and clear OBDII codes? The SGII website says it comes loaded to read ignition retard. Is that not the same as KR?

Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.

Ignition retard on the SGII is not KR. when it would disply ign it would be timing advance.

well, yeah. But retard is retard. (That is easily one of the weirdest things I've ever had to write)

i got a scangauge 2 and the KR detector has me a tad bothered. at WOT in second gear it registers 0.0 all the way into 3rd on normal refresh. but on fast refresh it shows up to 9.4. id figure that with the sustained rpm in second gear that it would show it in normal if it was there. But the VPW protocol type OBD2 that was 2003 and before doesnt work well with fast scan so i may just be scaring myself
