Do I need a tuned PCM to run a 3.4 pulley on my 97 gtp with supporting mods?

Digital Horsepower. Just the brand of the tuner they use.

Stock PCM works ok with a 3.4 pulley... all a tuned pcm is going to do is pull out power that the 3.4 pulley gives you that the motor cant handle.

    Custom Tuned is best.

3.4 pulley just plain has diff fueling requirements than 3.8 pulley, not to mention MAF adjustments. Supporting mods or not.

Sort of right... The maf is fine, you never need to adjust that for pulley changes, but you typically have to throw 10.5:1 or richer at most 3.4 pulley setups to run them cleanly... While doing that you will be reducing your power back closer to where the 3.8 pulley left you.

Looking at 500+ unless you come across one someone is selling. Then you potentially will need to buy credits.

youll be safe with a 3.6 or 3.5 with a stock tune, start with the 3.6 to be safe and make sure you have no kr. try to find someone in your area with a tuner, experience is key to a proper tune. they will likely want some money for the tune but $100 is better than $500+
