With a M90, depending on your setup you won't need a pump until somewhere around a 2.7" pulley. I ran totally out of fuel pump with the 2.7 and from 4500 to 6500 the afr's would climb from 11.5 to 13.0 no matter how much harder i ran the injectors. Lean damage is obvious and well known but too rich for a long time can do damage also, it will wipe out the rings and dilute your oil which could potentially cause bearing failure.

I'd install a high flow fuel pump too

hey, do you have a ported TB to go with that 2.8 pulley? or are you running stock with stock MAF?

also, are you having problems maxing out your MAF? Anmar Akarana(spelling) maxed his LQ4 maf out on a tune run and popped two pistons.

if you were reaching the ceiling of your maf, what did you do?

I've got stock m90 and lim plus stock tb. I had dyno Brian at dyno motorsports tune it (intense) im not sure how close to needing a bigger tb and or a different maf. He just said a ported m90 and lim plus a cat back would be a good next step. The car is fast enough for me right now. You will notice a huge difference by just installing injectors, 2.8 and tune. looks like you already have a high flow fuel pump. When your ready just make sure your tuner knows his stuff. My guess with Anmar is that somehow he went lean with either fuel starvation or tuner error. The proper amount of e85 makes knock more unlikely in higher boost engines

Yea a blown engine is usually a bad tune. Don't go crazy on the pulley, drop down a couple sizes an if you need more go from there

Just to be clear.. Brian is not intense.

He just tuned their cars since they can't make the power he can

Correct however intense sent me the original e85 tune. John the owner of intense met me at dyno motorsports with some pullies and belts. Then Brian fine tuned as we pullied down to the 2.8 on the dyno. I paid intense for the tune so in my mind its an intense tune done by Brian lol

yes exactly. Those guys have done a lot of e85 tunes and several hundred 3800's so the canned tune was real close. I didn't get into the boost too much and kept the 3.2 on for the drive south.

Its really not that hard to do... Just take 30% away from your IFR table and thats it. So for youre 60s, your IFR (I prefer a flat one) should all be around "60" for each cyl. 60*.30=18 60-18=42... so just make them all 42... done!
