i found this to be super informative. i wasnt getting nowhere reading forums and all that b.s. im a hands on learner and this is pretty much that. thanks alot for the time invested!
use this method guys.... new tuner here and i got my car tuned in one day doin this....
20* of timing on a 3.0 car with a stock cam aint bad! thanks Nick!
ProTip: You can't tune with a vac leak.
Thanks. Glad I helped ya.
I dont approve of removing torque management since that helps your car shift.
But sticky worthy for sure.
My car was fine with no tq management until the 3.2 gen v
your car can't shift to save its own life. :p
Thats why I said untill I prematurely hit post. Had to edit.
In otherwords... torque mangement needs to be reworked... not removed........
Removed is fine, if you have a good trans. Maybe dave can chime in some time with what he likes to do.
hmm my car has 220k on it and trans was rebuilt around 60k if i remember right, so sounds like torque management is staying on on my car for a while....lol
Can we just take it off for performance shift somehow? I'm not near my car to get the laptop or I'd check.
Updated with a help link.
For tq mang if you disabled it would only really make a diff for normal driving when you are not one it.
What would be different about this process on an N/A car?
If your car wont shift WOT then you need tq mangament in the shifts, what timing table are you asking about? I zero out the temp modifiers so that it is just what I command it all the time.
ok, those are the tables i was talking about. i get it now.
