look under tq management in the tuner

do you see where it says torque_reduction_1-2_upshift?

now go down a little bit...and look for...

    torque_reduction_1-2 performance upshift....

the ''regular 1-2 upshift'' is the table the pcm uses when the performance shift button is de-activated

the ''performance upshift'' is the table the pcm uses when the performance shift button is activated

If the car that you are tuning DOES NOT have a performance shift button then just modify the normal table...It's possible that the option to modify perfromance shift tables would still be there even though your actually lacking performance shift on the car.

dont know if you know this or not but how most people do this (the ppl with performance shift button in the car) is just modify all of the performance shift options....like line pressure, shift speed, shift rpm ect...all under performance shift. that way when the performance button is turned off all settings remain stock.

and just to clarify i am talking about the performance shift buton on the shifter

I knew all of that, but still good info non the less for someone who is just starting to learn how to tune .

I just wasn't understanding your wording

"rpm shift point range" and "regular rpm range"

Nothing is labeled that way in the PT files, but I see what you were getting at now.

Don't worry about it, I wouldn't expect you to know what I do and don't know about tuning. I am not saying I know everything but I know the basics. But other people that may read this thread might not know the basics and that would be good info for them to read. Thanks again for all your help, I will report back to this with the results whenever we get a chance to tune again.

    3+3=6

Your both right but with different numbers.
Glad you guys got all that settled out now. Back to hoping those low torque numbers can be raised to allow some shifting!
