Hey guys. Is HP Tuners capable of disabling cat diagnostics on 01+ cars? If not, what will? Tiny Tuner?

I wanted to replace that O2 sensor with a wideband. Won't be possible?

I did that with mine and I have not had any issues. If you have hp tuners just uncheck ses enable on the po420 dtc. See if you start getting 16.4 lfts when you are at a cruise or idling. if you do chances are you will need to rerun the rear 02

Your fuel trims were fine when you did that?

Replaced the rear O2 with my wideband in my 01 Grand Prix GT. Fuel trims were unchanged. The cat diagnostic must only react on 01+ GTP's (not GT's, as both me and 01gpgt01 have GT's with no problems).

I am assuming he did not install a cat with his speed daddys and is just using the extra bung in the rear.

Bedwards I was a victim of the 16.4 issue. If you can load a bin file into hptuners...let me know I got a fix. Mines a 2002 btw.

Yes, however I don't have a cat, I have headers.

I didn't adjust anything. I don't even have my HP Tuners yet (should arrive anyday though ). I have an Intense custom mail-order tune right now with the option "Disable rear O2 sensor DTC's" selected. I took my rear O2 out, and replaced it with the wideband. Car runs perfect and fuel trims are exactly the same.

You can disable it in Tiny Tuner. I'm not on here or don't have much time to post here anymore, but it is possible in Tiny Tuner. Look in diagnostics> cat diagnostics and set the cat diagnostics to 0.
