I've been trying to figure out if it would be possible to use a newer PCM in my '97 GTP (I may have even asked this same question before). I believe the pin-out and connectors are the same. I'd like to have the slightly larger tables that are available with the newer OS's, as well as the physically smaller PCM. AFIK all the engine electronics are wired the same. If I attempt this, what problems might I run into other than wasting money on a PCM I can't use?

Pin out conenctions are not the same. You lose various functions in the car, one such as ABS :P

Wiring harness, replace it all and you've got yourself a 98-02

Darn. ABS on my '97 doesn't work for crap anyway, so that wouldn't be a huge loss... I don't need another PCM. I'm just wondering.
