    I know that the official answer is that the software is only compatible with XP. I don't have much trouble running it in vista currently. I was just wondering if anyone is using the software with Windows 7 64bit, or even Vista 64bit. Key word being 64-bit, that's the main thing I want to know.

    Just an update...so far so good. Haven't done any writing, but it scans fine. I can even use UVSCAN with XP mode.

    Works as well as it did in Vista (which means it has the same problems as it did with XP).. Otherwise, works fine..

    BTW, Vista was a great OS.. Win 7 is just about Vista with toned down UAC (well, defaults settings make it toned down a bit more) and a few more graphical tweaks to most people.. Going from Vista SP2 to Win 7, gui changes are the only thing that made me think it was really different. The rest of it isnt that big if you have been using Vista for a while.

    Do some homework, then. There is a lot of improvement with Windows 7. I never had a problem with Vista either.

    I really didnt mid vista but it did have a lot of problems with freezing up which it seems so far (fingers crossed) theyve fixed with seven. also ive had some luck with getting older software to work with it. so far i like 7 more but you are right they really didnt change a ton of stuff

    No homework needed.. I used both Vista and 7 before their final release versions.

    7 is to Vista as I remember Windows 98 SE to 98..

    So did I...and I know that there was a lot more than a pretty upgrade involved. 95 --> 98 was a huge leap, too, unless you are thinking of 98 SE --> ME?

    No.. I am thinking 98 ---> 98 SE..

    Honestly, a Vista user is going to likely see nothing but a visual change when switching to 7..
