ohk so im doing my d.p tommorow and was just wondering if i get the rear 02sensor code deleted then go to run my car through for an inspection will it pass cuz the code isnt there? I know the light wont be on but will the computer to hook up for inspection realize that that monitor isnt working and not there and fail the car? This is also in NY idk what other states do for inspection but if anyone knows or has done this before let me know the outcome.

It might depend on how the code was removed. If you have a canned PCM from a reputable place you should be fine. If you are using a tuner though I think you have to be careful how you remove it. I am still just getting acquainted with tuning so someone correct me if I am wrong here. From what I've read there are two ways to deal with DTCs using a tuner. One way will just keep the light from coming on and when an emissions tester scans the car the DTC will still be there. The proper way is to set the PCM to not report the DTC. I did that with mine and recently passed my TX inspection without any issues.

i dont know what year your car is but some later models go crazy when you set the rear o2 codes to no report and keep commanding the catalyst efficency test resulting in a massive fuel dump just get a spoof and be done with it
