Anyone have a capable device? I bought a ZZP tuned PCM and it runs great but mileage is suffering. It doesn't as well before I had a relearn done after a crank sensor change. Anyone can help in Houston?

The case learn will not fix the gas mileage issue, that's due to the tune. I've swapped plenty of engines and crank sensors without doing case learns and they all ran fine. It's probably the tune.

I tend to agree with this. Essentially a Case learn is the same as what it sounds like you already had done.

Im fairly certain that if you need a case learn it would throw a code.... But I have done them before with DHP tuners. Also think MAYBE an areoforce can do it also.

Not yet. Computer shows 22.5 so far. I'm running half 93 octane half 87 to get to near 91

No real improvement yet about 25mpg. The computer still says about 22.8 though. I filled with 93 octane and will see it that has any effect. It did seem peppier than before but could be wishful thinking.

Looks like it is going to stick around 22-25 MPG depending on how it is driven. The cluster MPG average doesn't seem to reflect the actual MPG though.

04+ GP’s won’t always throw a code when they need a CASE relearn. I learned that after changing the balancer and about 3 months later the thing started with slight misfires, that would kick off the cruise control, then progressed to the point where it would miss under heavy throttle then got to the point where it was missing all the time. The whole time I went through the plugs wires and coil packs. Finally just did a CASE relearn and it cleared ALL the misfires away.

I got a Tech 2 now so I can do them whenever and did when I installed a ZZP PCM on my 2005.

Man you are doing way better than me, must be a lot of highway driving. I couldn’t get better than 26.1 freeway and 17.1 for my normal back and forth to work on gas.
