Hello, I am in need of a reputable tuner located in the area of south jersey. My gtp is having issues oscillating between third and fourth gear at a cruise and reads a vacuum leak when I cannot find one. The car is also very sluggish after shifts even at wot as the power drops off after a shift, then takes a couple seconds to get back into power. A fellow member brought to my attention that this could all be in the tune. Mods are l36 block, top swapped, 3.29 gears with non-hd, headers, cai, 1.9 rockers, and intense mail tune. Please let me know if anyone knows the causes of these problems and if there is anyone around south jersey that I can get in contact with that can take a look at the tune and correct it if need be. Thank you.

If you top swapped.. you must have something in it for a tune to run it, what are you running and I'd suggest a trip up to middle/north jersey to Scottydoggs. He's also running a top swap and should be able to check/nail the issue.

im running the same tune i had before hand, just initially had to cut the timing.

from the sound of his other thread they goofed and left the gtp gears in the file, where he needs a na ratio.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Have an intense file on it right now. Contacted John rucker and he double checked the gear ratio and it's set to 3.29 with non hd diff like is suppose to. Don't know what now

If the gear ratio is correct but the vss or reluctor setting, I forgot get what it’s called, is wrong then it won’t work right, feel like it’s slipping or delaying the shift. Or if the tcc is wrong too.

Do you have a shift kit installed?
