Does anybody have one or know of what to change on either a stock L36 file or L67 file? I've searched all over and have found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for a top swap you want to use a gtp bin file copy the na trans file over to it.

you also want to change the map sensor to a l67 map and its pig tail needs to be spliced in.

if you have dhp i have top swap files stored up, i can email it to ya.

The car is a 2000 GT and I believe it is a factory 4T65E transmission. And I have the L67 Map sensor already installed. I would love it if I could get the files as well as some more info to point me into the right direction.

the funny thing is that the L36 and L32 map sensor's use the same plug, so you could have saved yourself some cutting and splicing time, not that it is that hard, if you had just gone that route.

Pm sent. And I actually just T-tapped into the harness. Should I have not done that? I only did it because I got the sensor without the actual connector on the end and didn't want to cut my factory harness.

Yup, like I said, cutting the factory harness didn't settle well with me. So my final two questions are am I going to still have to transfer over the trans setting? And if I get a read out of everything would someone be willing to look it over and tell me if everything is ok? I have multiple tuning guides to reference from as far as AFR etc. But they are all mainly for non Top swapped cars. And I'm using DHP if anybody was wondering for future reference.

the same tune for a gtp l67 works for a top swap, its the timing you need to mess with till you fine where its kr free.

Nice, that's kinda what I needed to know, I've been told the timing should always be advanced, am I assuming right?

top swaps are a pita really, its a fine line, boost or timing, you really need to see just what works better. more boost less timing, or less boost, more timing.

like me, im bottom swapped, ported heads 1.95 rockers ported heads a fcic and a 3.2 pulley at 13ยบ wot timing, thats like 3 less then stock timing. im only making 8 psi boost too. not a whole lot really.

Scotty how come u only get 8psi of boost on that 3.2 pulley? Those rockers killin the boost that bad?

So if I post my data log tomorrow night would the lovely people of GPF be able to steer me in the right direction? Hopefully all of this will help someone else one day.

bin file sent. a scan tomorrow wont help anyone. the fuel trims need to learn first, then you can scan and make changes as needed. id drive it nice for a few days and then take a scan.

scan for kr while the trims learn, if you see kr over 2ยบ let off the gas. dont beat on it. as the fuel trims learn the kr could become less.

oh, being the osid # is not the same you need to do a security learn, i set it the security learn you turn the key to run for 10 seconds, then turn it off and crank it. it should fire right up.

beats the hell out of key on for 10 minutes 3 times dont it?

when you flash the bin file, do a full write, and use pcm vin# and your vin# should stay put. you can check it afterwards in vin maint.

and as always, find another pcm for a spare, you never know when your gonna brick a pcm with dhp. it can just happen for no reason.

I didn't know you could set it that low. I have mine set for 60 seconds. I also own three GT's so I have parts to spare.

killing boost is a good thing really. less is more. ported heads, rockers, ported lim, fsic, the lim and ic really drop boost. the other two help too.

boost is a measure of restriction.
