So I have been using DHP for some time now and all of a sudden I connected to the car a few weeks ago and went to scan and nothing is there. It's like it reverted to when I first go it and had to set up all of the PID's I wanted to scan. I set it up again, but it won't hold it for some reason and its not monitoring some of the parameters that I have set, they just display 0 in the file and have dashes when I have them set as a gauge.

Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it, other than it's not HPT.....

id try a re install. then reset your scanning see if it holds on to it this time.

ive gotten bad scans before, i think for me it happens if i leave dhp open and shut the lid putting the pc to sleep then open it and use the already open program, the scan turns to crap.

Yeah I have had that happen too, this is just like when I started and I had to set it all up. Worked for months no problem then one day I think I disconnected (hit the disconnect button) it while it was scanning, then shut it off and when I tried to get it up and running again it gave some error. Then I shut it down and the computer and retried and it never came back. It will connect but it's just like the first time and I had to add in everything to scan. I'll give that a try (reinstall) when I get a chance. I guess I just need to reinstall the scanner portion correct?

And honestly I have 2 icons that are the same one is set for scanning and the other is set for flashing, but they both look exactly the same. What is the difference?

i have one shortcut to dhp, the scanner is in scan tools. you maybe using uvscan? that also retains the pids you checked off to scan.

I'm actually not sure. I noticed that everything is under both but to use one for scanning and the other for flashing. I didn't actually install it. I had my IT manager friend do it from a dropbox deal.

look at your comm port setting in dhp, remember it. then delete dhp and install a new one from bills drop box then.

this way its all in one link and ran from the same location. it may not like being split up or what evers been done to it.

make sure your bin is not saved in dhp folders, i got all my work in a desk top folder.

Yeah I have it setup in my documents folder under tuning and have logs and all that saved there and backed up to a USB.
