So I just started logging with HP tuners and at WOT I am seeing lots of KR. After playing with the configurations on the scanner, I added g/cyl and at WOT it's only at .82???

Looking at the timing table that column has more advance than the last column .92.

Could this be due to the ported TB? Does the computer use the MAF values to determine g/cyl?

Also, how do I set up my WB o2 to log?

    Thanks

Everything is MAF based on these cars. If you have a ported throttle body and you didn't calibrate the tune for it, then it's very likely to be off.

What do I need to do to calibrate it?

theres tuner manuals on line that break stuff down to dumb for us when we need to learn.

I suggest downloading the hp tuner software 2.24, because then the sticky "starting hp tuner" will be a lot easier to follow. I tried to get my wideband sensor to read with the new version of software for hp tuner "3.0" but wasn't successful, so I just reverted back to 2.24 because I knew it worked. I'm no tuning expert, but for a ported throttle body, all I would do is is a maf smoothing. it's in the sticky. I would also reduce timing advance in the cells that have kr. if you have 4* of kr, pull out 4* of timing. you might have too big of a pulley on and may need to pulley up.

Here is a guide on setting up your wideband with hp tuners with 2.24

Should my values be in the maximum g/cyl column? Wouldn't the g/cyl increase with more modifications and run out of room? I haven't had any time to do the MAF smoothing yet.

the tb shouldnt be effecting it. it is a bit odd but not a major concern. yes the g/cyl is a calculated value based on maf data. what do your trims look like? ltft mostly...probably lean at lower tps i imagine. if they lock in like that its of major concern
