alright, I've been reading around and deleting the rear o2 on these cars is common enough. Previous owner had it tuned perfectly, I thought I could do it better, couldn't, now I need some help. Seems like most people say to drive up to intense? I looked on their site and they said its $100 extra if your car leaks anything on their dyno? My car definitely will. I don't need a nice expensive dyno tune, I just want it to run right. Any suggestions?

Why are you wanting to delete the rear 02? Dont do it..... finding a way to get the cat test tuned out is not fun if you dont have DHP/Tiny Tuner and something Im working on as soon as my life gets back to normal.

All 97-00 cars do not have to worry about the cat test though, a simple shut the code off is all thats needed.

    So you have a tuner?

    What couldnt you do better???

Tuning these cars isnt very hard.

I don't have a tuner sadly. The previous owner deleted rear o2 and the car was tuned for it when I bought it. It ran great and is already set up for not having one, plus the cat is going bad so I want to be able to run it without the check engine light on

If the check engine light isnt on now and the rear O2 has been deleted, the light wont come on if you eliminate the cat...

Your post is a bit confusing to me, seems like others as well.

Your title says you want help with a lack of a rear O2, then you mention it's already deleted and was running perfectly.
You thought you could to better and couldn't, so you need help. With what do you want help? What did you do that didn't work better than how the car was previously running/setup?
Obviously the car leaks (it's a 3800 so that's not a big surprise, but whatever) and you think you may want a dyno tune. If you undo whatever you did, wouldn't it run perfectly again?

See where I'm going.. you aren't quite describing to us what was done or how the car isn't running right. Being an internet forum, we can only read and many times need a lot more info.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

The car was tuned for not having a rear o2, I got an intense canned tune not thinking about it, and now the check engine light is on. I thought I was doing good by "updating" the tune but it only made things worse.

    Ahhh thank you.

Did you have the tune overwritten or do you have the old pcm/tune still?

To be honest im not sure, I do know that the guy who tuned it kept the previous line pressure, and trans shift settings, and not being able to turn perf. shift on and off. So maybe the old tune is still in the computer in a way?
