Ive been having a bit of a KR issue lately ie max of 4* around 80% throttle.

    Mods:
    3.4 Pulley
    9.4 to 1 compression
    XP Cam
    3" DP
    ZZP 3" Exhaust
    Intake
    AL 104 plugs @ .050
    Pump 93 octane

I have not installed the headers yet, but i planned on doing that Monday
Im thinking that i dont have enough exhaust flow for a 3.4 but i need to be sure.

    Any suggestions?

headers are the worst possible mod you can do on a 3800.

What AFR/timing are you having problems with? High compression stuff might want to see 13-14 degrees on a setup like this.
    Doesnt run 9s

    First, Why are headers terrible?

Second, My solution was to use eddies table modifier to lower timing as a band-aid until i can get the exhaust flowing more.

Its not wrong to run a little less timing. headers are not going to "help get the exhaust flowing more" on a setup like that.

the factory manifolds and old factory mufflers are the worst for flow.

lost 2 psi of boost from ditching the factory mufflers and exhaust. on some cars i could see it being worse since the baffle holes rust and close up before the baffles rot away....

good luck having muffs that the baffles have rotted through yet the muffler case hasnt lol

the borla exhaust sounds great but its a helluva restriction...i have back to back dyno tests that show the boost drop and going lean as hell from a beautifully tuned setup with the exhaust connected, to a 18" 3" straight pipe.

Headers are the worst mod? Maybe I need to put my stock manifolds back on my G8 and my GTP. I will miss the added noise and speed tho. LOL
