SO since the Pontiac got totaled ive switched to the LX platform and I have been loving it!

But the help is scarce, I this issues is universal so maybe one of you guys can help you never let me down in the past!! Im in the middle of lowering my 2012 Dodge Charger R/T with Eibach springs

So I took everything down and im re installing the new ebiach springs and im working on the rear and I cant get one of the rear carriage bolts to re install? Specifically the Rear Passenger Side.

I lowered the carriage to clear the springs and struts and everything was goin fine in the re install but this one bot is now spinning loose. Its stuck just spinning wont go up or down whats goin on?

It felt like it was lined up at first and I was able to thread it a ways, this is the supr long carriage bolt and not its just stuck spinning. Any help fellas?

    Pictures attached

    As always thanks guys!

Can you put upward or downward pressure on it to maybe catch something to thread in or out?

I tried that it seems to go to no where up and when I pull down the threading is really skippy im kinda torn and thinking about tearing apart the trunk and liner to see if their might be access to the top of the frame??

Your sure it's lined up and started in the actual nut? Sounds like when you do a subframe and tighten all the bolts down and then last one wont go in cause it's just a hair off, loosen the other bolts and it will line up and start then tighten all and your good. But if it won't back out at all even with a bit of pry force maybe the nut welded to frame broke loose and your up the creek without a paddle.

Heh well the consensus is back out the other three and see what that does. Lord knows I hope some random nut didnt break loose in my frame. Not likely I didt give it much force when I was putting it in. It just made that (I know this will sound ironic) cracking sound bolts make sometimes when your driving in/out a dry bolt.

So I backed everything out and its still wont thread properly it feels like the nut inside the frame is loose? Is their access it that nut topside like through the trunk?

I stay as far away from Chrysler products as I can lol, so I couldn't tell ya. Best advice I can give would be to go to the dealer and have them print some diagrams or at least show you on their computer the area your looking at before tearing half the car apart to find out you can't get to it. Or if you have or know someone with alldata on that car they can see pretty much all diagrams the dealer can.
