Yes that is correct, I believe it is another way as well , blocking off side ports but I used the tubes

That's what I'm thinking, I'm going to suggest a brand new master and brand new front caliper and hose. If that doesn't work, I will suggest junk yard. It was a good car 188,000 miles on it.

Well all is fixed. I changed the front driver caliper and hose and bleed that wheel and pedal is back to normal. As I previously mentioned the bleeder screw was broken not sure if it was trapped air or the hose itself. but it was one of the two or both.
I spent a little money on miscellaneous parts that I didn't need. But at-least I got the experience and this was my first Master cylinder change and it seems I did it right the first time.

a broken bleeder valve will let air into the system. I guess I missed that part earlier.
