Pickup driver may have technically done nothing wrong, but he could have let the Camero pass and avoid that whole mess.

f that guy in the camaro, id have locked his ass in behind me all day long lol almost hit me will ya.......lol
for a guy with no lic and drunk, hes got some real issues driving like that. i hope he rots in jail, then has to pay out of his own damn pocket for all the damages.
thing is the guy had no reason for rage, he was just a drunken asshole. pick up truck didnt even brake check him lol just went back to the speed limit clearly.
why did the camaro feel the need to try to cut him off, then pass in the dirt? just another asshole raping our roads. :th_nanana:
There is no doubt the camaro carries 99% of the blame here and is an asshole.
The pickup did touch the brakes once the camaro did get behind him and he did slow to match his speed to the semi. It also seems like the Semi slowed to try and just let the situation end as the dash cam car did catch up to them with no problem. The simple solution was to just let the asshole be an asshole and carry on his marry way.
Pickup driver was not squatting in the fast lane, vehicle ahead of him may have been. See shadow at beginning of vid. Truck may have been following too close, or may have just known what I do. That is that if the potential agressive cut-off is seen as do-able by the Camaro, he will try. That makes you swerve and he continues on while you wreck and die. If pickup guy briefly reduces his following distance to less than one Camaro-length, the move won't be attempted. Its how I'm forced to drive in some spots daily. If the Camaro tries to slip into less than a car length, hold gas and wheel steady and prepare to brake if you're pickup guy. When they hit, steer in their direction and stop. Then dragstrip launch onto the shoulder or bail out and find cover if the car won't move. Being that close as the person with the camera was is a bad mistake, and that driver may have actually worsened the scenario by following closely. I'd have taken my foot off the gas, moved over and let the whole lot of 'em get outta my sight. I do that all the time, its far too deadly. I would definitely go so far as to exit and re-enter the highway to escape that situation. My opinions aren't popular, but in it answering the phone at that time was not good either. Not while moving.
I'm kinda siding with the Camaro driver, drunkenness aside. I hate people who hog the left lane and the pickup driver was obvious chiding the Camaro on.
i cant wait to be next to you on the highway and then ill try to just take your lane by force. now let me see you not hog the fast lane.....
wtf vid were you watching? lol
I think we over analyzed this video.
I think too many people drive without common sense these days. They'll risk causing an accident to get ahead of 1, 2, 10 cars maybe. People are too fvcking stupid to realize you'll maybe save a few seconds maybe even a minute if you spend your whole commute acting like a NASCAR driver. Just because there is physically room to fit your car between two other cars doesn't mean you should do it; there is hardly any etiquette or consideration anymore. Why not just wait for a bigger gap to change lanes, why not let that guy in, why are you tailgating someone on an entrance ramp (do you even know what a zipper merge is), what is the big rush?
It seems like no one actually pays attention to driving anymore nor has the ability to see or analyze potential scenarios that will play out around them. Everything is a surprise! Gas it, slam on the brakes, gas it, race up to the light, gas it, cut that guy off, what is a blinker, why does everyone flip me off?
He 100% deserved it. Maybe if he wasn't blazing down the highway he wouldn't have tired to get in front of the pick-up and make him mad. I would've messed with him to piss him off more.
Great outcome! The driver of the pick-up was only a dick after the Camaro was forced in behind him. The tapping of the brakes and pacing the rig beside him wasn't cool. Not saying I haven't done the same thing, but I was in the wrong too.
Doesn't any of the States have "keep right except to pass" laws? If you are in the left lane, you better be going faster than the right lane.
