Well I had a big post explaining the situation but went to link the pic and lost it all.

Basically I drive lots of rental cars all over the country. Every once in a while I get something different. 08' Charger R/T, 14' Camaro SS.

This car was totally unassuming and when I drove out I noticed the whine of the M90. At the time I was really into porting Gen 3 and 4 M90's used on Tbird SC's when I looked and noticed there was. gen 5 which at the time was a big deal I took a bunch of pics of the SC and we talked about it on the board I was active on at the time. Anyway I loved the car and the burnout pic was at Chicago Indoor Racing where I had met up with a bunch of club members.

So that's most of the story.

I ended up buying one identical to it totally by accident.

Corey, I don't really appreciate being called a dumbass and retard by someone who was probably still living with his parents. This is a ten year old picture of me doing a burnout in a supercharged Grand Prix in front of a group of other car guys after racing for about an hour. Shooting pool and having a good time. To say we were in high spirits would have been an understatement.

You don't know me, you know nothing about me, but I would invite you to have a beer and a talk about GP's when I'm in your area, which by the way will be about the 20th of this month.

Well in any case, I'd like to see what he has to say.

When I bought this car and started having problems with it I needed to post a few pictures. Well since I had photobucket and posted the pics there where I hadn't used that service in a while and in going through the pictures, I ran across the pics I had taken of this unbadged GTP. The week I drove that car I loved it! It wasn't the same as my 89'SC 5 speed, but if it had a manual transmission I would have bought one back then. Well I've always liked pretty much any of the cars with the 3.8L supercharged engines in them. I started looking at getting a 98-06 GTP or equivalent 3.8SC car as a project and found the lower one at a car lot and it needed a rack and plugs n wires and AC blower motor a new tire, some slight front end damage that had been well repaired. Someone had put Flomaster 2 chambers on it (little droney), and a modular pulley system, which I found out was waay too small. New one will be here Friday.

Anyway, I just thought it was kinda cool that all these years later I end up with an exact copy of a car I rented 10 years ago without even realizing it, who knows maybe it is the same car, but I don't remember it having a HUD. Thought some other folks would think it funny as well.

you played with s/c thunderchickens I had a 93 5.0 chicken, would love to find a decent 5.0 again and build it up.

Let me ask my mom if I can come and play, shes not to fond of strangers since my sister was spawned from a craigslist add selling maple syrup. Since I live in my moms partial basement I am not allowed to drink alcohol, but I can join you in a ice cold glass of green kool aid? My bite it worse than my bark dont worry.

The tbirds used to be all over the junkyards but they are getting as rare as 70's-80's cars. The SC was my first supercharged car and I thought that was the bomb. When we started you couldn't even get a cam for them you had to have have them reground and install longer pushrods. I learned a ton of information on the M90's we were the first to disassemble and coat rotors in the Gen 3's as they had bare rotors. Tons of study on porting and rotor timing and the noise ports. It was the hardest car I have ever felt with changing plugs with cast aluminum intercooler tubes and a HCU on the drivers side, but it was a blast to drive.

Well I'll be flying in on the 20th so ask your moms if she'll let you come out and play.

You don't want to meet with corey, He doesn't know anything. He also shows you his special collection downstairs when you come over. Its not a fun time. However, his mom does make some good green koolaid though...

Nice they are good looking cars. Mine was black too with gray interior pretty much the base model of Super Coupes. It was the first one I had ever seen with a 5 speed. Out on the highway you would shift out of 3rd at 120 and it would run up to 140 at 4,400 in 4th. After I modified it I never had it that fast again. I used to piss people off at Houston Raceway Park. I got laughed at a lot for having a fat car with a V6 loved to walk it out running 2.08 60' and blowing past them at half track or beating them right at the end. It's the hardest car I have ever worked on for plugs or motor mounts. I still have a couple of Gen 3 superchargers and a Gen 4 and inlet I need to sell.

    Nice!

Mine was an auto, but she still got the job done. You are right about the plugs 'n such; I don't miss having to remove 10 major components in a certain order just to change one plug. Yet I do miss her.
