Mostly from advance.. With online coupons and the ability to pick up in store 5 mins later. No need to worry about paying shipping or the hassle of you do have to warranty or return something.. Oh and it's a 2 min walk across the street it's a no brainier. Prices come out to be about the same as RA.

i have an advanced auto down the street from me. i don't like it that much. the only parts I've bought from it were light bulbs, plastic dip, and lucas trans fix. the store isn't all that bad, its the people that work at the store in my case. lets just say they're not the brightest people around...

Original Parts? Well most parts stores don't really have everything OEM but Rock Auto has the most out of all of them. I like NAPA as well because of the quality and the fact that I was an employee there so I know who makes their parts and they choose good companies.

NAPA also has OEM parts and they are under the ALTROM line.

I don't care for Advance because they choose ****ty parts and working there was a joke.

Well yea if it's OEM then either RA, Amazon or eBay or the dealer. Just depends on what it is. I'm not a nazi for only getting oem parts. Somethings aftermarket will accomplish just fine.

i also do the advance on line discount code, save money, pick up local.

but i had to return my master cylinder last week, and idk if this is new, cause the one guy was ready to just hand me a new one, then the girl walks up and says not to, you refund them, (went back on the card i used) then i have to go buy it again on line. ok, you just threw a wench in my plans here. thanks.

some parts ive gotten at napa, autozone, or pep boys. i dont buy parts there these days as peppys parts really blow.

then theres always rockauto, partsgeek partskings and a few others like amazon and ebay.......aka i buy where ever i find the cheapest price. i shop a lot before i buy.

The dumb b!tch was wrong to do that. A return/exchange is a return. It should have been an even up swap. Even at that, if she was dumb and insistent you tell her you want to buy the new one in store and they need to match the online price. I've had employees do that before when there was a problem with my pick up once. In the "Price Match" dropdown there is a selection for AdvanceAuto.com for them to match.

You act like just because the Advance in your area has dumb employees that all Advances have dumb employees and that is just not true. In my area Advance is the go to. We have Auto Zone, NAPA, another large "Auto Supermarket", as well as local shops and Advance kills them all. Hell they just opened a new one about 10 miles from the other one in December as well.

There is one Advance in my area that I avoid at all costs. Luckily it is a further one from me, but when I used to work at one shop it was the closest so it was the one I had to go to for work. Idiots doesn't even begin to describe the employees they had, but that didn't taint my view on the other Advances in the area that had knowledgeable employees.

The local Auto Zone has been a mess for as long as I can remember. If I HAVE to go there I will walk in and there are several people waiting because it takes the dumbass employees so long to look parts up that someone buying oil or a light bulb has to wait 20 minutes to check out. Then the phone starts ringing and it rings 40 times before someone takes a second to answer it.

With online discount codes Advance gets 98% of my business.

They don't have to be the brightest people at all.. That's exactly why I place the order myself online and pick up or if I need to physically go in the store and get it then I hand them the part #. There's a few of them that actually know their s**t but from past experiences from all the part store it's just easier for me to pick and order the part.

i look at the screen let them load the car, then tell them what to search for, then show them what part i want lol its like a puppet on a string. then open the box and confirm its what i want.

All the parts store are within 5-7 mins from where I live but if I could get just about everything from advance and not have to jump in the truck and drive.. Advance it is lol. Once the other stores have coupons like advance maybe they'll be considered.

Advance has a nice thing going with the great discounts and being able to pay online which allows you to avoid paying the taxes lmao but a ton of the employees are extremely stupid and think they know everything. The bosses are clueless. In fact, when the wife worked at advance they hired a manager from walmart who knew nothing about cars whatsoever. The guy that they hired even admitted that and the wife was the one who really ran the damn store.

Also, I hate that when you do buy parts in store that have a core, you get taxed on the core but don't get that back when you return the core. That's BS! NAPA around here gives you your tax back when you return the core.

Yes I know you can bring the core in before you by the part but sometimes that's not an option.

I severely dislike the parts quality as a whole. Advance likes to buy from the cheapest bidder no matter what the company or quality is. That's crappy business. NAPA doesn't do this and that's why I can trust them cause IK what I'm getting.

my brother went in to advanced to get his starter checked and they set the f*cking electrical tester to alternator. like hello retard. luckily he said something before they messed up his car

i normally go to o'reilly for in-store parts. I've had good experience there, even when i tore my bumper off, they came out and helped me with it. they always show me the screen and the part. RA is more convenient though cause its warehouse is located right next to me so shipping isn't too bad and it gets here fairly quickly. i was just curious as to where you guys shop around and what experience you've had at other places

Autozone ... I never go there not a fan of duralast parts

Oreileys.. Sometime just depends on what I need.. I buy my belts from there since they offer Gates brand instead of the Dayco that Advance carries.

Napa.. Very seldom.. Only because they close early and there's really nothing there I can't get from advance in my experience.

Advance.. Right across the street and with online coupon codes yea they get my money most of the time.

Carquest.. Closes early just like Napa
