I did manage to accidentally drown a chipmunk in used oil i had laying in a open container in the shed, the poor thing.

When my GP sat for a long time once, there was a frog in the middle of the ATF lake. Po critter, I still have him. He is well-preserved lol. Animals see shiny stuff as water, thats why birds drop on cars. Then there was the dead bunny under the lawn mower been there since fall, shoulda stayed out of the shed while I had the mower out. Oh and the snake laying across the capacitors on my A/C unit. Still smell that one time to time. We had coons wrecking the garage for cat food once, I taped a Buck knife to a stick and skewered one, left the rest to tell the tale and never saw the lot of em again. FWIW Vaseline on the feeder stand legs gives the squirrels something to think about.

It was 4 AM when I heard em down there and I reached for the .45 and a shotshell first. As I continued to wake up, the knife on a stick was the only silent idea I could muster. He dragged his gut down the driveway and I went back to bed but it was a few minutes of adrenaline. There were 3 or 4. For a moment I had him skewered to the drywall.

you clearly have dealt with vermin.....lol
when i was a kid we had a family of coons come by every night and dump the trash cans. one night drunk as fvck i walk up the driveway and as i pass the can and this 4 foot tall coon is standing in the can 2 foot from me and growling. ( then i saw two baby's off to the side) so i did a one 180 and bolted. had to run around the house and jump the fence to get to my back door.

My second thought was bayonet but I had got rid of my carbine and the M14 is post-ban so no lug to mount one. That woulda been classier huh.

cant go wrong with the gold ole buck knife. ive killed my fair share of vermin. my fave is shooing squirrels with my g5 small game head with my bow. its like a little grenade and tears em right apart
Re: Post Whoring Thread 3.0 - Saab sucks to swap a timing chain
At one of my old jobs, we had a mouse problem in the lab. So we used traps and bait. The one traps we used were the rectangle style where they go in and can't get out. It was my duty to check the traps everyday. When those would have mice in them, I would grab a 5 gallon bucket and drown the trap until the mice drowned as well. I felt cruel, I really did. But I hate mice.
Re: Post Whoring Thread 3.0 - Saab sucks to swap a timing chain
Well it got the job done thats all that counts right? At least it wasnt spiders. I hate spiders
Re: Post Whoring Thread 3.0 - Saab sucks to swap a timing chain
We had glue traps we used at my house when mice were finding their way in one time. I would grab some welding gloves and a bag to pick the trap and mouse up. Leaving the mouse in the bag I'd smash its head with a hammer to kill it.
Re: Post Whoring Thread 3.0 - Saab sucks to swap a timing chain
when i was doing roofing and water proofing work we coated a parking lot with 4 mils of this stuff that was so sticky. next morning we got 2 sparrows stuck in the glue. this one jerk off i worked with is out on a 2x6 from the curb tot he bird and it trying to rip it out of the glue, ripped one of it legs off, it beak was messed up wings ripping off. im yelled at him to get the F off the bird. i then went out on the board and i took its head off with one quick slice of my razor sharp trowel.
he then starts to give me crap, im like that was a mercy killing. it was never gonna live, and you were only torturing it.

Nice convo you guys were having. We all know how animals take after their owners (Dave should pay attention to this one), I walk in the house with a couple of buddies and we were heading down the hallway to consult FSM's for a torque spec or some crap. We literally started down the hallway and stopped, stared trying to determine what had occurred.
