    I recently bought a PS3 and already have a Wii and a laptop, and I'm looking for a wireless router to work with these. Any suggestions would be great.. Looking to spend under or around 60 if possible?

    Thanks!

    Well they should both work, there is a usb booster you can buy for the wii that increases the signal strength and distance of the signal for your wii (Highly recommended I have a wii) and to connect you have to go to the settings and select your network and put in all necessary passwords unless you have an open connection like I do lol.

    Now for the ps3 I have no clue I am planning to get one after my 4th 360 craps out, its not long now. It happens quite a bit :P

    Edit: Didn't notice if you said you already have wireless or not?

    Definitely Linksys is the way to go I had one and lasted me like 3 years until I bought a new one because I wanted it lol. They are cheap and work very well for gaming.

    D-Link for the win.

    I've had others and D-Link is the best by far.

    I felt like it was more user friendly than my D now, but Linksys gets my vote I always used to game with it.

    ok so there is many different routers for each brand? obviously with differnet prices, so what is the best for what i need? I will only be using one of my things (wii, ps3, laptop) at a time. I'm not trying to spend alot, something around 70ish would be nice.

    I say Linksys for the win too. They are a division of Cisco which as you may or may not know makes probably 80%, if not more, of the routers that pass internet traffic.

    In addition, the linksys can be hacked to add a TON of functionality, though it appears they have expanded the router list that can be hacked to include D-Link.

    DD-WRT :: News

    I know when I hacked my Lynksis it went from being a simple home network router to have having a lot of the features of the network routers Ive worked on at work before. Its not for the faint of heart though cause you can brick it if you arent careful.

    x2 have always been a fan of linksys but if you get a guy to install it (LOL) then you could probably slip him some cash to hack it for you.

    ^Agreed. I just did so 1.) For the experience of it, and 2.) To get some of the functionality I was used to at work, which would probably be useless to most people.

    I bought a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N router. It was inexpensive and has worked flawlessly since I've had it. No problems connecting anywhere in the house, including the garage and out in the yard. Easy to use settings also which made setting up the security a breeze. Also, it's backwards compatible to Wireless G, so there's no problems using your wireless G stuff.

    It adds a lot of functionality, and at a minimum allows for a boost in output strength so you can have a better connection. I prefer the Tomato version of firmware: Tomato Firmware | polarcloud.com
