I just thought about adding a fixed sunroof glass for my backseat passengers or a motorized one depending on the complexity of installation. The only problem I see myself running into is the headliner not having the same cutout contour as the front. Should I attempt this?

you'de need to stretch the car/roof to fit it.

the sunroof on my 04 has a mechanism inside the roof approx twice the size of the glass panel.

im sure you could probably make it work....or end up scrapping the car halfway through after ripping everything apart

Agreed..the sunroof track etc is nearly the size of the entire roof.

Ok so couldnt I get another sunroof from a junkyard and put it in as a fixed glass with no functions. Or would it get in the way of the track?

I think it would get in the way. YOu could always pull a junkyard headliner and check though
